Safe Ireland Go Purple Day 2022

DVR were delighted to take part in Go Purple Day in April, an annual campaign to raise awareness about Domestic Violence.

The initiative was created by Community Garda Stacey Looby, Athlone Garda Station to create national awareness of Domestic Violence and to consolidate community partnerships between Domestic Violence Services and An Garda Síochána.

DVR staff were thrilled to host a visit from local Gardai and sit and have a chat about our service and how we can work better together with An Garda Síochána to get women experiencing Domestic Violence the help they need.
